Yes. Europeans travel by train because Texas. 

I know, it’s not supposed to make sense, but REALLY? Reverse logic - cars are best for short distances, like less than an hour drive, which is what you might have more of in a compact living environment like Europe. But in America, where everything is so far apart, generally, trains make so much more sense, if not only for speed, then for fuel efficiency/environmental friendliness. 
/rant - I really support rail.

Completely agree. Look at the other high speed rails around the world. I have NO idea why we haven’t invested in them.
